Some more work
old ruskie pistons.it been a year since the sucessfull "completion" of the build and pass on the MOT. As a child that struggles to learn to walk, my Dnepr has struggled with getting going in a reliable way. I had a few fun shorter trips during the summer, and a few recovery van of shame pickups. The most problematic would be a pickup form the middle of the M20. It was quite a warm day, and i had just embarked on a journey to see some friends in the south of england (and show off the bike a little :) ). It was all going well, good start up, nice responsive throttle, happy misses in the sidecar. Everything seemed to be going well. Close to the end of the journey, (ironically, just after my partner and i had had a convo over the intercom about how well everything was going) I was greeted with a loud pop, sudden loss of power, a fair bit of smoke and a soggly oil soaked left foot. bugger.
