a long time has passed since a post, or even significant work has occurred..
in the mean time, tinkering has happened, had a first go a tuning out the engine (carb balancing etc.), fitting in the new indicators (bike side) and just all round tinkering
the plan this year, is to get the bike to a road ready state by the spring. Yes the 'spring' is still an undefined time. but that's the plan.
as for what need to be done:
although a non definitive list, its the bulk of what needs to be done. As an adjustable time limit, id say all this will be completed by mid February - taking into account shipment time for parts from Russian federation/Ukraine.

new chromed 8.8 steel bolts on everything ***replace telescopic bottoms (chromed new) ***replace telescopic screw in tops (new - keep old seals) ***- replace front axle (new chromed) *** - not possible, seems new one is different in design
add front wheel 'bearing cap' to keep out the crap ***replace rear swing arm caps with nice new chromed ones ***new generatorreplace rubber air inlets with new ones 33mm straight ***- replace both l/r valves +grind in *** (half done)
- rubber covers on exposed connectors (where possible) ***
look at tidying up rear seat handle as its not as tidy as i want- balance carbs better
- re-rivet / clean sidecar cover - douse inside with a better waterproofing. ***
- front brake switch ***
- rear brake switch ***
- indicators for side car ***
- properly wiring up all the indicators to the wiring loom
blast cylinder heads - powder coatskipped as i cleaned/painted them up myselfre-coat rear suspension adjusters in cellulose metal lacquerpaint lower end of speedo cable (in situe) - it seems to be missing it protective layer.. #- repaint handle bars as there is a chip #
- repaint tank as there is a chip #
- repaint rear mudguard as there is a chip#
repaint pillion passenger seat mount (as there is a chip)- repaint side car (as there is a chip here too - yes a few bits have chips, i had a case of ill placed, falling tools one day....)#
repaint air inlet - bit of a gas leak splashed on a section, removing the finish... #repaint exhaust down pipes - not happy with the finish of the particular brand of V HT paint & bit of a gas leak removed the finish... #
