At this point after the heavy work of removing in all about 15 bolts (most of which where different sizes!) to remove all of the rubber cushions. As expected, most were cracked and un-reusable. There was only one in new condition, the driver seat, which looked like a recent replacement.
i know its an old bike, but it still surprising how few parts there really are on this bike! I guess im used to more modernized machines with meters of complex body fairing etc..
Now the side car was off and all rouond bike acess was better, i thought a more in depth inspection of the electrics was in order.

Terminal connectors? why bother when you have twist-able wires and a roll of tape? |
|
Bit of a bird nest, but a sort of 'tidy' one. |
|
Fed up with fuses? Then why bother. |
I think a rewire is on the cards here....
all is 6v at present, im considering a 12v conversion, debating all pros and cons of both, and amount of work/budget involved, and if its worth it at this point. It is tempting to stick with 6v for now and re-wire a new harness with 12v in mind in case i wish to upgrade later.
